  Prior to joining Cullens, Neil was a senior associate in a leading Australian patent attorney firm with offices in Brisbane and Canberra. Before entering the Patent Attorney profession Neil worked as an Examiner of Patents where he gained an intimate knowledge of practice and procedure before the Australian Patent Office.

  Neil has extensive experience in the preparation of patent specifications and prosecution of patent applications domestically and internationally, and has assisted clients in a wide range of technologies, including satellite communication and navigation systems (e.g. GPS, GNSS, Telematics), RF filters, electronic surveillance systems (eg. radar systems) and speech and speaker recognition algorithms and systems. More recently Neil has assisted a number of his domestic clients in developing global patent portfolios, which resulted in their purchase by multinational corporations.

  Neil is based full time in our in our Gold Coast office, however does travel to Brisbane to see existing
  clients.
